METU Graphic Design Unit was established in 1992 under the President's office with the management of İdil Ayçe Aba, who has a bachelor's and master's degree from Mimar Sinan University, Department of Graphic Design. In 2011 our logo has undergone a rejuvenation process and with this "Corporate Identity Re-Arrangement" fixed standards have been agreed upon by the university senate. In 2012 Graphic Design Unit has joined the Corporate Communications Office where we work in harmony with fellow teams like the Press Office, GİSAM, Career Planning Center, International Students Office and the Alumni Office.

What we do:

  • We monitor the usage of our logo in accordance with METU Corporate Identity standards, and point out errors in applications.
  • We provide METU departments' and offices' with designs of logos, emblems, brochures, catalogues, book covers, magazines, posters, social media banners, stands, etc. for their announcements or promotions of events such as; conferences, seminars, concerts, ceremonies, screenings, exhibitions and sports events.
  • We prepare publications promoting METU, its departments and education programs, and job opportunities for high school students that are at the university selection stage and design all necessary visual materials for METU's presentations at national and international education fairs.
  • Student groups or communities consult us regarding visual materials that are needed in their activities.
  • We provide with promotional product designs or campaign graphics for establishments like AdımODTÜ and ODTÜDEN that provide resources for our university.
  • We conduct out-door design projects such as flags, banners and signs.
  • We also prepare the traditional calendars that have promotional themes of our university.
